Curated by garden historian Richard Aitken, Planting Dreams: Shaping Australian Gardens explores the cultural history of gardens and garden making. Following an extensive search through the State Library’s collections, Aitkens has selected more than 150 rare, beautiful, and peculiar objects which span five centuries, and illustrate the rich story of garden-making.

Planting Dreams: Shaping Australian Gardens is a fascinating exhibition which explores the ideas and influences that have shaped the way we make, use, imagine and enjoy our gardens.
