Mosman Garden Design – Fun for the Family

The recently bought property is the new home to a family of five. Moving in with 3 lovely kids the owners were after a child friendly outdoor space with a safe pool area and a welcoming entertaining area.

A huge double garage blocked the view from the living room over the garden and took up a lot of usable space. We demolished the garage to create a clear sight and an open family friendly garden with a lot lawn space to play and relax.

In order to maintain vehicle access ‘Turf Cell’ was installed underneath a lush, high quality soft leaved buffalo lawn.

Next to the house we installed a large Sydney Sandstone-paved entertaining area including a built-in BBQ with stone bench top and comfy lounge furniture for family and friends. Spotted gum hardwood timber trough out the garden gives the space a warm, organic feel and softens the hard surfaces.

The existing kidney shaped pool was retained and refurbished with custom cut sandstone pool coping to follow the curved lines of the pool. The pool enclosure was made safe and secure using curved glass panels, again to accentuate the curved lines of the pool, all equipped with an outdoor shower.

The owners now enjoy watching their little ones play safely in the pool and strolling through their beautiful sunny garden.
